The Mitsubishi Lancer is a sporty compact sedan, combining advanced user and safety technologies with stylish design and a fun-to-drive character.
The Lancer is available in four trim levels: ES and GT (FWD), SE (4WD) and Ralliart, with All Wheel Control (AWC). The ES is powered by a 148-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, while SE and GT models get a 168-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine; available transmissions include a five-speed manual and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The Ralliart boasts a 237-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, paired to a six-speed Twin-Clutch Sportronic Shift transmission (TC-SST) with paddle shifters. Trim-dependent standard equipment includes: 16- and 18-inch aluminum wheels, rear wing spoiler, fog lights, heated front seats, automatic climate control, 6.1-inch touch panel display audio unit with satellite/HD radio, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and a FAST-key passive entry system, as well as Mitsubishi's FUSE hands-free communication system, including voice-activated audio streaming, smartphone integration and a USB port. Standard safety features on every Lancer include stability and traction control systems, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes with brake assist, a rearview camera (all but ES) and seven airbags.
The Mitsubishi Lancer carries over with minimal changes for 2015.
Whether you just want a car that looks and handles sharper than the average econobox or you need something speedy enough to embarrass genuine sports cars, the Lancer lineup likely has something with your name on it. - Edmunds.com, CarsDirect
As Mitsubishi's smallest and most affordable vehicle in the U.S. market, the Lancer stands out from the crowd of low-priced sedans for two main reasons: First, its resemblance to the much more expensive Lancer Evolution and Ralliart models...somehow earns it a little more street cred than, say, a Corolla. - The Car Connection, CarsDirect

Don't go thinking, 'Yeah, it's like an Evo but cheaper'. - TopGear, CarsDirect
Even though the 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer is in the same segment as mainstream economy cars like the Honda Civic, it doesn't quite match them in the areas of interior quality, base engine refinement, fuel economy and reputation.Close Lancer rivals include the Subaru Impreza and the sporty Mazda 3, which likewise offer high-performance variants in the form of the WRX and Mazdaspeed 3, respectively. The Impreza features standard all-wheel drive versus the Lancer's Ralliart-only AWD system, while the Mazda boasts a nicer interior; moreover, both competitors have superior base engines. But the 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer still has a lot going for it, especially in GTS or Ralliart trim. - Edmunds.com, CarsDirect
